After reading the title of the article, I must thank Pam Bondi for the hearty laugh.
It was my second of the day. The first arose from seeing the faces of numerous TechGods atop robot dog bodies "pooping out" works of art. The various juxtapositions tickled me deep in my funny bone.
Bondi's was nearly as good. Everything about it is comical. It's a bizarre assembly of words, especially in light of the person she works for.
Trump II turned Congresspersons stating the law on soldiers' obligations to refuse illegal orders into sedition worthy of death. Her boss walked that back a scoach but kept his main points intact.
Tax crimes? That is the IRS' bailiwick. Didn't Trump II just cut the IRS budget, eviscerating tax enforcement?
As for regular law enforcement, I expect they won't touch tax crimes. We couldn't get our local police to charge an employee with embezzlement when we had all the evidence assembled for them to use. Local authorities had no interest in a person who'd stolen my wife's credit card number and ordered expensive NIKEs for her four year old kid. We had name, address and documentation from the vendor and they lived in the same town.
Most of the items under Bondi's laundry list of "agendas" fall under free speech, which she is charged with defending, not making up fake threats and tossing out excessive legal consequences like Trump II.
As for tax crimes, shouldn't that AI "enhanced collections" find suspicious returns, current and past? Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said AI was the key to enforcement. Which pooping dog's AI will Scott use?
In summary, local authorities don't care about tax crimes. The vast majority of Americans do not want a fascist government, straight up or Christian Nationalist.
Violence is often linked to mental health issues as most people find harming innocent people for any reason to be against their faith and a violation of basic human decency.
Independent voters are fleeing the Red Team. Trump was supposed to help on the economy and stay relatively between the Presidential lines like he did in his first term. .
I sincerely doubt Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth will succeed at court martialing a U.S. Senator over the exact words Hegseth used when Obama was President. That does not mean he won't try.
That's what worries me about Bondi's threat. It's performative, like TechGod headed dogs pooping art. Can we please get back to substantive?
Can Congress or the Supremes reign in the Kranky Old Guy in the White House? He just lost a match with Sabrina Carpenter with the White House committing not one, but two, own goals. Me thinks the FIFA boys are laughing. It's Trump comedy 360...
