Bush Appoints Cliff Hawk to Broadcasting Board of Governors

The White House website announced "the President has nominated Clifford D. May, of Maryland, to be a Member of the Broadcasting Board of Governors, for the remainder of a three-year term expiring 08/13/09." Cliff stands squarely in the war hawk category.

Consider his words from August 2006, "Allowing (an Iranian Islamic Superpower) to happen would represent a mistake of historic proportions, akin to enabling the rise of Hitler in the 1930’s." Six months later, May poked fun at a windsurfing flotilla protest to Guantanamo Bay.

Clearly, George W. Bush nominated an uber-hawk, likely a strong proponent of waterboarding to the Broadcasting Board of Governors. Little did Clifford know, that's the new macho name for windsurfing. Everybody take their sailboards to Guantanamo Bay, where they can freely and safely join the waterboarding race!
