Israel's Crazed Lieberman

How quickly things change in the Middle East. In early December Quartet Envoy Tony Blair revealed a secret peace agreement between Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian Chair Mahmoud Abbas.

Four months later, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that Israel's foreign policy was yet to be determined and the Annapolis commitments were dead. His audience was the Russian Foreign Minister. The meeting occurred after Lieberman met with George Mitchell, President Obama's special envoy. Is Avigdor playing the U.S. off Russia? Highly likely.

The most violent country in the Middle East has a heavy handed nut job for a foreign minister. It's going to be a long few years.
