Soldiers of Fortune

Just days ago Sylvester Stallone finished shooting his latest Rambo movie along the border of Myanmar/Burma. He had this to say about the country.

"I called Soldier of Fortune magazine and they said Burma was the foremost area of human abuse on the planet."

How can Freedom's Watch spy a NY Times ad on General Petreaus and react so quickly? The ad ran on September 10th and by September 13th the nonprofit group released a TV ad. Now that's fast!

Why can't FW see that human abuse cited by Soldiers of Fortune. Wouldn't that be a huge obstacle to freedom, especially the crack down five days ago? Why not a peep from the conservative non-profit as 4,000 monks are slated for movement to a gulag in North Burma? Are they worried about the oil deal negotiated under President George H.W. Bush's watch? I wonder if Chevron can see any of the human toll Stallone described from their oil field ? Both blood and oil flow freely, funding Burma's quirky soldiers of fortune. Isn't it time FW weighed in?
