Why is public will not transferred into policy in democratic countries? Take democratic Israel, which controls the Palestinian Territories. The West Bank is directly under Israel's purview, while Gaza is under an Israeli siege. Haartz reported:
74 percent of Palestinians and 78 percent of Israelis are willing to accept a two-state solution.
The Arab League Peace Plan has been on the table since 2002. It's clear the democratic government of Israel has failed its people. But they are not alone.
For years, 80% of Americans wanted their employer or the government to do more to cover health care costs. Business stepped back from the commitment, while the government hesitates to deal with legions of uninsureds. Congress and the White House claim uncertainty as to who would fund greater coverage. Isn't that their job?
