The shining democracy in the Middle East may provide room and board for a year for people calling for an end to Israel as a Jewish and democratic state. The room is a jail cell. The proposed bill comes atop a bill banning "events or activities that aim to mark the day of Israel's independence as a time of mourning or sorrow."
