Insane Reds Launch AI Ad

Engadget reported:

It's not difficult to imagine AI-generated images depicting outright falsehoods in attack ads.

ABC News Denver noted that lying is political ads is common.

"There's nothing that says that you can't stretch the truth with regard to political advertising.”

Ethics, principles and core faith beliefs suggest otherwise.  Those things seem to be sorely lacking in a win at all cost political system.  It's the Insane Reds vs. the Blue Lucys.

Update:  Toothless elected officials are yet to reign in AI.  Scammers are using it to impersonate a relative's voice.

Update 5-4-23:  The State of Texas is after an AI crypto scam.  A young woman pleaded for others to stop using AI to make her clothed pictures posted online into pornography.

The Biden administration plans to reign in AI by forming seven new national AI research institutes.  That's a classic Blue Lucy yank the football move on behalf of the AI industry.  Citizens get to swing and miss.  Can't wait to see it in an AI video.

Update 5-14-23:  Our elected leaders sit on their hands while the world's ethics disappear into a digital cesspool.

Sophisticated generative AI tools can now create cloned human voices and hyper-realistic images, videos and audio in seconds, at minimal cost. When strapped to powerful social media algorithms, this fake and digitally created content can spread far and fast and target highly specific audiences, potentially taking campaign dirty tricks to a new low.

The implications for the 2024 campaigns and elections are as large as they are troubling: Generative AI can not only rapidly produce targeted campaign emails, texts or videos, it also could be used to mislead voters, impersonate candidates and undermine elections on a scale and at a speed not yet seen.
